Yoneda Maki

The owner and cook of Dogen Hut.

When she was nineteen, she happened to stop by the soba shop and was captivated by the chilled curry soba. By day's end, she had decided to make the restaurant her new home. Married the owner at age twenty-two and they managed the establishment together. Last year, her husband of thirty years passed away. Now she safeguards the generations-old secret of chilled curry soba on her own.

She currently employs two part-timers, Masa from Midoriyama Academy, and Mohinder, an Indian exchange student.
