In the remake, Arcueid’s character is fleshed out with more nuanced motivations and emotional depth. Though she initially approaches Tohno Shiki with vengeance in mind after he fatally wounds her, their encounters reveal her complex nature—torn between her purpose as a True Ancestor and her longing for freedom and human experiences.
