Cassius

Second son of the late emperor of Adastra and Amicus's contender for the throne. He is a populist and an isolationist who wishes to distance the wolves from the wider galactic community.
Would normally be second to his older brother in the line of succession, but is more popular with the public, spurring Cato to instead stage a competition between the two.

Has an impressive and prestigious pet, Alexios, motivating Amicus to acquire a similarly impressive human pet.

He is secretly in an intimate physical relationship with Alexios, later revealed to be romantic.
He suffers from self-hatred and an inferiority complex due to his bone disease and to neglect by his late father.
