Anekawa Kiriko

She's made a living out of ruining the lives of others through her investigative work as she's learnt the hard way that her looks and intelligence are best used to manipulate the men around her to survive and thrive in society. Although she loves her daughter Shigure, she's uneasy about how her daughter has taken her public persona too seriously.

She shoplifts from the manager's store as part of a new undercover sting she's preparing for her programme. When the manager asks for sexual favours in return for not reporting her to the police, she turns the tables and blackmails him with an audio recording. In exchange for sex (which she's extremely skilled in), she'll not report him to the police for his transgressions and liberally helps herself to the numerous shoplifting recordings the manager keeps in his office.

Her programme reported on the school sexual harassment scandal which was one of the contributing reasons behind the suicide of Mei's brother. Despite declaring his guilt in public, Kiriko suspected not everything was at seemed and continued to investigate the truth behind the story in private.
