The seasons turn, and freelance exorcist Iori Saya has successfully made it to her third year of high school.
As the world buzzes with excitement over the upcoming long holiday, Saya is still stuck worrying about her financial struggles.
Then, out of the blue, her informant contacts her with another “lucrative job.” Alongside her spirit partner, Giou, she heads to Yatamura, where the client lives.

Upon arriving in the village, Saya learns that her main tasks are to act as a bodyguard for Miwa Takeru, the client’s grandson whom she met on the way, and to purify five old shrines in the village whose seals have begun to weaken. Relieved, she gets to work.

But it doesn’t last long. A few days later, Saya is confronted by…
- Rurou, a spirit who stole something important from the Shimon family.
- Shuuichirou, an exorcist and distant cousin of Saya, along with his spirit partner, Kokuu, who are chasing Rurou.
- Takatora, a junior exorcist who came looking for Saya.
- And Kuira, a mysterious boy who harbors intense hostility toward both Takeru and Saya.

Meanwhile, the five old shrines Saya was tasked with purifying are on the verge of another strange phenomenon.

The faint scent of blood, the stirring of malevolent spirits—it’s the quiet prelude to an approaching storm.
