The protagonist, Kaguragi Akira, is the heir to the global company Kaguragi Group which holds vast assets. According to the family tradition, he left his parents to live a common life for social training. His caretaker, the aunt Kenzaki Akane, informs him that his father, Kaguragi Takahiko, the top executive, has fallen critically ill and needs to name a successor soon. The company's management insists on a blood relative as his successor, and specifically, his future wife, so she requests Akira to choose a bride from two candidates. Although Akira is hesitant and is having difficulty finding a girlfriend since he lives the life of an ordinary student, he ultimately decides to select a future wife to put his ailing father at ease.
