On Yuriko’s birthday, a party is held.
Though the Nomiya family holds the title of viscount, they’re struggling financially, and the party is a desperate attempt to keep up appearances.
Her father, who loves her deeply, has gone all out to throw a grand celebration.

Teased by her childhood friend, Hideo, who knows the family’s struggles, and forced to endure the hollow flattery of the gathered nobility, Yuriko can’t take it anymore and tries to escape.

Set in Taisho-era Tokyo, the story follows Yuriko, born into a prestigious noble family, as she’s tossed about by a cursed fate.
