Initially slated to leave after the first term, Kazami Sora continues his role as the school's health counselor into the second term at Saika Girls' Academy.
Shirobana, his traveling companion, is still working as his assistant. However, the two no longer live together at Shikisai Home, a hot spring resort.
Having guided his sister to her final rest, Sora embarks on a new journey now dictated by his own desires rather than filial obligation.
Knowing this, Shirobana decides to step back and keep an eye on Sora from a distance, as Yuka, Sora's older sister, had previously done.

Amid this bustling timeframe, a fresh rumor gets added to the academy's "Seven Mysteries" list: the emergence of an ogre at nightfall, supposedly responsible for desecrating the school's grounds.
Sora, suspecting the work of a Tamabito, assumes his Okuribito role to scrutinize these ogre rumors. He does so in partnership with Tsukimori Rin, a mischievous student council president who is also a particularly problematic student.
