On the eastern edge of this ocean, lies the Nirai Kanai.

One of the eleven cities in Okinawa Prefecture, it is the only city that does not have police forces, instead, a vigilante group called Ookmiza, takes up their duties. But Ookmiza is just a front for the group, its members are made up of descendants of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which was dissolved in the past.

At the top of Ookmiza, stands the third King of Ryukyu of the third dynasty, Tsukishiro Ichito, during a time of peace, he runs a café named Kijimunah, occasionally operates a food truck as well.

One day, as a matter of course, Ichito protects a runaway girl calling herself Misaki. In order to reach Nirai Kanai, the Land of the Gods and the Land of the Dead, Misaki arrives at this eastern city. Nirai Kanai is merely a legend, even Ichito, the King of Ryukyu, does not believe in its existence.
