That night, too, the apartment was filled with noisy chatter. The sounds of loud laughter, the crunching of snacks, and a cute, bell-like voice echoed through the room.
While observing this scene with a sigh, the original resident, Oohata Ryuuichi, found himself somehow feeling a sense of happiness. Having avoided human interactions since childhood, Ryuuichi had, thanks to his best friend Serizawa Mahiro and the somewhat eccentric but easygoing president of the Occult Research Club, Nohara Kanon, regained a semblance of a normal life.
On this usual night, Ryuuichi went out to the convenience store and saw something strange in the park.
It was a girl, hopping as if dancing, with the hem of her white dress fluttering in the air. It was as if the girl had no weight. There wasn’t even a speck of dust kicked up... It was like her body was floating.
Girl: "Nfufu, mata nyaha!"
Suddenly, as if by magic, the girl vanished from my sight. It was like she had truly disappeared...
Ryuuichi: "Was this... a ghost?"
From that day onward, a strange, yet nostalgic summer began for Ryuuichi.
