Andrea Boccadoro is an award-winning composer for film, TV and video games based in London, UK. He recently composed the original score for the feature drama The Legionnaire, winner of the Best Emerging Director Award at the 74th edition of the Locarno Film Festival.
In 2021, Andrea composed for the Amazon exclusive series Veleno: The Town of Lost Children, directed by Hugo Berkeley and winner of the Italian Golden Globe for Best Documentary. In 2020, he scored Canadian feature film Violation by directors Madeleine Sims-Fewer & Dusty Mancinelli, nominated for 5 Canadian Screen Awards. Andrea composed music for numerous short films, most recently Descente (4am) by Mehdi Fikri, which was premiered at the 78th Venice Film Festival in the prestigious Orizzonti section.
Andrea's work in video games has been critically acclaimed, with his score for Devolver's Card Shark being nominated for a Music + Sound Award in 2022. His earlier game title Astrologaster also earned him an Execellence in Audio nomination at the Independent Games Festival, and three G.A.N.G. award nominations.
In 2019, Andrea received the Prix Cinezik for the original music of Scaramouche Scaramouche (dir. Arthur Môlard) at the 20th Aubagne International Film Festival. In the same year, he was awarded the Universal Music Publishing Award at the 14th Cortinametraggio film festival, for the music of L'Interprete by Hleb Papou. In 2015, he won a Jerry Goldsmith Award for his composition Song for Adele.
Andrea is an alumnus of The Royal College of Music, Berlinale Talents and The Hospital Club Emerging Creatives Programme. He is represented by Air-Edel Associates.
