The game has a protection error message that prevents you from playing the game. This error message advises you to use the "userid.exe" file, which creates a log.txt file that must be sent to the following website " http://221.115.208.108/gre3/ " along with the Product ID that was used when you bought the physical game. This site would then give you a valid "comap.dat" file which is used to play on your PC system. However, this source used to crack the game by the developers has been defunct since 2008, making this version unplayable without a valid file. But, there is a work around to this.
If you own the web trial of the game, the demo uses the same system as the full game without the use of the comap.dat or reg.exe file and can be considered as a NODVD patch for the game. Just simply download the web trial and install the folder onto your system. Head to Program Files (x86) < GROOVER < GreenGreen3 体験版(WEB版) < GreenGreen3.exe. Cut the GreenGreen3.exe and paste/replace it into the GreenGreen3 folder. You can now fully enjoy the rest of the game without any problems. Please note that modern-day antiviruses will hinder in the installation of the game due to reg.exe being detected with a virus that controls the software from starting. Disable your antivirus and create an exclusion on your Green Green 3 folder to prevent it from deleting files or delete reg.exe incase you plan to use the web-trial method.
